Public feedback sought at East End Bridge Open Houses in Utica, Ind., Louisville

February 2006 - Open Houses are scheduled for March 7 and 9 to give the public an in-depth look at the possible alternatives for the new East End Bridge. Meeting information is listed below:

The purpose for these Open Houses is to discuss the bridge design alternatives for the East End Bridge with the public and solicit feedback through polling, written comments and discussion.

The Open Houses will feature a self-guided tour of bridge design alternative displays, with identical one-hour presentations at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. at both locations. Following each presentation, team members will be available for a discussion period about the project and concepts, which will be followed by a polling session on the bridge alternatives. Hand-out materials and comment sheets will be available for attendees to mail or fax to the East End Bridge team. The feedback from this meeting will be used to help develop three final bridge type alternatives for further evaluation.
