Navigational Channels for Downtown Bridge Studied
The new Downtown and East End Bridges must maintain navigable channels as required by the United States Coast Guard. The Seaman's Church Institute at the Paducah, Ky., Center for Maritime Education will provide computerized navigation simulation services for each bridge type under consideration. SCI will create a realistic computer model of the navigation environment vessels will encounter approaching the new bridges from either direction.
