Louisville, Ky - February 29, 2008 - During the afternoon of March 4th, the
architectural models of the two Ohio River Bridges Project river crossings will
move to the new District 5 KYTC office, which recently relocated to 8310 Westport
Road (about one mile east of Herr Lane). For the past two months, they have been
on display at the Falls of the Ohio State Park in Clarksville, Ind.
The three-dimensional models feature designs for the Downtown and East End bridges,
and will be on display at the KYTC office for several months. The public is encouraged
to view the models during the hours of 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Please contact the District 5 office at (502) 210-5400 for further information.
The model for the new Downtown Bridge measures 7’ x 4’ and showcases the three-tower,
cable-stayed design. The Kennedy Bridge is on the left. The Big Four Bridge is on
the right.
The East End Bridge model provides a 3D view of the two-tower, cable-stayed design,
which resembles sails. The model measures 6’ x 2’.
