Public Votes for its Favorite Bridge Type Designs
November 2006 – The public is encouraged to vote for their favorite
Downtown and East End bridge types through Nov. 19. Electronic voting is available
on the Ohio River Bridges Project Web site, www.kyinbridges.com.
Along with the voting system, the on-line site also allows individuals to view various
renderings of the final alternatives and provide written comments.
A series of open houses was held the week of November 13, in an
effort to get more public input. At these open houses visitors viewed three-dimensional
models, asked questions of project team members and cast their vote for their favorite
bridge types.
Voting forms also will be available beginning Monday, November 13 from 8:00 a.m.-4:30
p.m. at the following Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and Indiana Department of
Transportation offices:
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet - District 5 Office
