Features of the Downtown Bridge
The new Downtown Bridge will carry traffic north on Interstate 65 and will span the Ohio River immediately upstream, or east, of the John F. Kennedy Bridge, which will carry traffic south on Interstate 65.
Right-of-Way boundaries are approximate and show areas needed by the respective
states to safely build and operate the roadway and affected areas. Temporary easements
(light blue dashed lines on Right of Way view) are portions of parcels purchased
by the states for construction but ultimately turned back over to the property owner
upon completion. Edge of pavement lines show the expected lane edge lines after
construction is complete.
