Indiana Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program
The Indiana Department of Transportation's (INDOT) Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program is administered by the agency's Economic Opportunity Division. Pursuant to 49 CFR 26, the DBE program is intended to ensure nondiscrimination in the award and administration of INDOT's federally funded contracts and to help remove barriers to the participation of firms certified as DBEs. INDOT's Supportive Services Program provides training and assistance to certified DBEs to increase their participation on INDOT contracts and help them become more viable and prepared to compete in the heavy highway marketplace. The Louisville-Southern Indiana Ohio River Bridges Project presents the ideal environment for INDOT to continue its efforts to level the playing field and create maximum economic benefit for DBEs. DBEs that are ready, willing and able will make important contributions to the construction of this enormous public infrastructure project.
